”It takes
vision to run a business not eyesight.” That's something today's
guest strongly believes in.
Huzefa Merchant is 95% blind because of a genetic disorder of
the eye called retinitis pigmentosa. He only has 5% of the eyesight
of a normal person but that doesn't stop him from running a
design-centric business.
Not only that, Huzefa leads the design team of his
company, where his role is to get fresh design ideas and work
with the team to get those designs created.

In 2010, Huzefa sold his house to build INSYNC, India’s only
Shop Fittings brand that design and develop standardized
shopfitting components for retail shops.
Asia Retail Congress conferred him as 1 of the Top 100 most
influential retail minds in India in 2018 and 19. He was also
awarded as the Young Achiever’s Title at the Golden Globe Tigers in
2018. Huzefa has 20 design copyrights and patents to his
name.
